Colombia prohibits the use of veterinary drugs olaquindox

On March 18, 2010, the Colombian Bureau of Agriculture (ICA) issued Resolution 0969 - Ban on the use and sale of olaquindox in animal production.

Olaquindox is a feed additive used to promote the growth of pigs, cows, chickens, etc., and is used to promote growth by antibacterial and protein assimilation. As a result of protein assimilation, more nitrogen is stored, cell formation is increased, tissue is increased, and long meat is increased, thereby producing more lean meat. Olaquindo also improves functions such as digestion and nutrition of crude protein and fat. .
