Fertilization advice before changing vegetables

Spring vegetables are replaced by summer vegetables, and there are many bad environments. Therefore, there are many problems after the change. Due to years of planting and a large amount of fertilization, the eutrophication of the soil in the greenhouse is serious, and some farmers have not been able to purchase fertilizers and fertilization methods, resulting in changes in soil physical properties and adverse effects on vegetable growth. Here are some suggestions for fertilizing vegetables before changing vegetables.

First, we must break the bottom of the plow
Due to years of planting, using a rotary tiller and other machinery to turn the ground, a plow floor was formed under the plough layer of about 25 cm. The humus in the bottom layer of the plough is small, and the porosity is small, resulting in poor soil permeability, poor water permeability, and difficulty in rooting. Due to the existence of the bottom layer of the plow, the applied fertilizer is mostly concentrated in the ploughed soil of about 20 cm, which makes the plough layer soil eutrophication and leads to soil salinization. Therefore, when changing the raft, use a machine with a depth of more than 25 cm to deep-turn, such as a plow, a trencher, a deep-turning machine, and the like. Breaking the bottom of the plow allows the base fertilizer to be more evenly distributed, avoiding a lot of fertilization to make the soil surface eutrophic, and is also conducive to deep rooting.

Second, use soil conditioner carefully
The soil conditioner is mainly based on steel slag phosphate fertilizer, which is an alkaline fertilizer, which has a good improvement effect on acidified soil and can supplement elements such as calcium and magnesium. Soils with suitable vegetable growth have a pH of 6 to 7.5. Therefore, soil conditioners should be selected according to the actual conditions of the soil. If the alkaline fertilizer is continuously used in the calcareous soil showing weak alkalinity, it will inevitably lead to alkalization of the soil. If the nitrogen fertilizer is used excessively in the alkaline soil, a large amount of ammonia gas is easily generated, causing gas damage.

Third, ditch application, hole application of manure should be cautious
When the vegetables are changed, the best method of applying the base fertilizer is to apply the whole shed and deep-turn it. For example, when applying the ditch and applying the fertilizer, pay attention to the fertilization method. The first is that the fertilizer applied to the ditch and the hole should be kept at a certain distance from the root system. Do not use the fertilizer directly under the root system, although the nutrient concentration is not conducive to the root system. Secondly, the fertilizer used for ditch application and hole application should be selected. Manure must be thoroughly cooked to avoid fermenting and burning roots in the soil.
