Improvement of slab continuous casting machine fixed length measuring system by PLC

The continuous casting slab cutting production process plays a key role in the control of the length of the slab. Since the slab continuous casting has been put into production, the length of the non-fixed blank is often caused by the inaccurate measurement of the fixed length, or the measuring roller is not turned completely. Cutting the blanks, bringing a large number of non-scheduled scraps, has a greater impact on the cut length of the billet and increases the production cost. So we improved the inspection and control system and achieved remarkable results.
