Outotec (formerly Outokumpu Technology, Finland) stated that the company has agreed to supply two calciners for the Russian Komi aluminum project.
The project is an alumina refinery with an annual output of 1.4 million tons. The refinery is scheduled to be put into operation in 2009. The Kemi alumina project is held by the Russian Aluminum Corporation.
The agreement is worth 20 million euros (26.9 million US dollars) and Outotec's calciner is also making its debut in Russia.
