RG71FM Glass Break Detector Installation Notes - Legris

The RG71FM glass break detector uses microprocessor-based digital signal processing technology. Probing should be based on a pattern recognition analysis of the characteristic sound frequencies and sequence of breaking of window panes. The detector should accurately detect the rupture of flat plates, sandwiches, wired wires, and tempered glass, while ignoring false alarm sounds, such as broken windows, ring-type sounds. Glass breakage should be detectable on a wide range of window frame structures, glass strength, house sound effects, and windows or doors covered with curtains.
The detector should be "free-adjusted" to eliminate "human error" and simplify installation. The sensitivity of each detector should be calibrated separately during production. The maximum detection range should be 9 meters (30 ft). The memory card lock indication should be available.
The detector installation flexibility should be high; flush mounting, surface mounting or rotating mounting on any wall or ceiling. Optional rotating brackets should be provided for optimal installation and performance in any environment.
The glass break tester should be used to verify that the detector is properly installed. The sound coded message from the tester should remotely place the detector in test mode without opening the detector unit. This tester should be able to generate flat, tempered and wired/laminated glass breaks.
Continuous "silent microphone" monitoring tests should be performed by monitoring environmental sounds. After 24 hours of complete silence, the suspect silent microphone should be indicated by a flashing LED.

Flat Washer
