The Dalian University of Technology (Yingkou) New Materials Engineering Center was established in 2010. It is a key enterprise for the development of science and technology R&D industry in Yingkou Hi-tech Zone. It consists of new materials research and development, analysis and testing, and technology training centers. It focuses on the development of core smelting with independent intellectual property rights. , Processing, forming and rapid manufacturing technologies provide comprehensive technical and talent support for the new materials industry in Yingkou High-tech Zone. The relevant research level of the center has been at the leading level in China, and some of the projects have reached international leading and domestic initiative.

Under the active organization and management of the Yingkou High-tech Zone Management Committee, Dalian Polytechnic (Yingkou) New Materials Engineering Center and Yingkou Liaohe Aluminum Co., Ltd., a key enterprise for aluminum production in the High-tech Zone, jointly established the Aluminum R&D Center, focusing on technical problems. Promote technology research and development, develop high-performance aluminum alloy materials, and combine relevant engineering experiments with integrated high-performance aluminum alloy materials, make comprehensive performance test reports, analyze performance indicators, and optimize on the basis of ensuring the same performance of aluminum profiles. Out of the best alloy materials used in product accessories and production processes, its product performance has been optimized. At the same time, according to the requirements in the production process, the alloy material is extruded to reduce the thickness of the profile, reduce the amount of raw materials in the finished product, reduce the use cost, and make the product lightweight and durable.

After the aluminum R&D center is established, it will further develop new structural aluminum alloy alloys, special software for aluminum structural topological optimization, aluminum profile hot extrusion die modification and other technical R&D projects, and start the real-time monitoring technology of nitriding layers in hot extrusion dies. For service projects, the center will use Hi-tech Zone as a technical service center to radiate regional related types of enterprises and institutions, extensively carry out research and development and technical services related to aluminum materials, and provide extensive and in-depth technologies for the development of new materials and processing technologies for the regional aluminum industry. support.
