Luoyang Shuangrui Wanji Titanium Industry's first sponge titanium furnace

After nearly a year of construction, the first steamer of Luoyang Shuangrui Wanji Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. successfully produced the first furnace sponge titanium, which ended the history of no titanium production in Henan.

It is understood that as a raw material for the production of titanium ingots, titanium sponge is an intermediate link from titanium ore to titanium. Because of the complicated production process and huge investment, there are only six countries in China, Japan, the United States, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. It can be produced, and there are only 9 production companies. Titanium is widely used in aerospace, marine, chemical, mechanical, pharmaceutical and other fields due to its good performance in corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and conductivity.

The metal sodium and liquid chlorine produced by Henan Xin'an Power Group are the main raw materials for the production of titanium, while the CSIC Research Institute 725 in Luoyang is a national first-class in the application of titanium metal technology. In order to realize the local conversion and appreciation of the products, the two parties jointly established Shuangrui Wanji Titanium Industry Co., Ltd., and invested 625 million yuan to set up a production enterprise with an annual output of 10,000 tons of sponge titanium. The first phase of the annual production of 5,000 tons of sponge titanium project design and construction of 12 sets of steaming furnaces, is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of the year, by then sales income of 363 million yuan, profits and taxes 120 million yuan. After the completion of the 10,000-ton project, the company will join the Zunyi Titanium Plant as the largest titanium producer in China.
