The Ministry of Commerce's overall policy guidance for this year's foreign trade is "stable exports, expansion of imports, and reduction of surplus." Chen Deming said that under the current situation, due to many uncertain factors in the international market, the foundation of economic recovery is not strong. The hidden dangers of some sovereign debt countries and the financial system have not been eliminated. The fluctuation of international commodity prices and exchange rate changes It is still quite powerful, and protectionism is also heating up, so the increase in international trade may decline, not as fast as it turned out. In addition, from a domestic perspective, we are also facing rising prices of raw materials, rising labor costs and shortages of some laborers; our energy conservation and environmental protection requirements are even higher, and various cost-driven factors are also increasing, so China’s exports are basically There will be an increase, but the increase will not be very fast. From the perspective of imports, China has accelerated the adjustment and optimization of the structure. At the same time, it has promoted the strategy of the free trade zone and accelerated the implementation of measures to promote import convenience. Therefore, the increase in imports this year will be faster and faster than our exports. Therefore, it is initially judged that the ratio of our trade surplus to GDP may fall further this year, and the surplus may improve, but we cannot rule out a situation in which there is a trade deficit.
