The Haidian Court issued judicial advice and offered suggestions to reward employees who are brave in fighting crimes

Although four people have been sentenced, the Haidian Court has issued judicial recommendations to the urban and rural shopping malls and other malls that have been stolen most recently in response to the problems exposed by the stolen malls in terms of security and anti-theft.

Strengthen "civil defense" and "technical defense"

According to the Haidian Court, in this case, the urban and rural shopping malls and the Shuangan shopping mall were stolen 5 times and 4 times respectively within 2 days. Other shopping malls such as Contemporary Mall, Huayu Shopping, Zhongyou Shopping Mall, and Ginza Department Store were also stolen more than once. The thieves "patroned". These all show that the shopping mall still has a lot of loopholes in security and anti-theft. In this regard, the judge put forward some suggestions for improvement of the shopping mall. For example, the deployment of security personnel should be strengthened in key areas such as valuables sales areas, passenger flow concentration areas, and peak passenger flow times. Sales personnel should receive training in areas such as anti-theft and anti-robbery before taking up their posts to increase safety awareness.

Install surveillance cameras in key areas such as doorways, elevators, and valuables sales areas. For the installation of electromagnetic induction anti-theft devices for valuable commodities, customers need to "demagnetize" the sales staff to bring the commodities out of the mall, otherwise the corresponding monitoring device will automatically alarm.

Improving anti-theft regulations

The stolen counter sales staff confirmed that after they discovered that the goods were stolen, they were almost afraid of losing their jobs and did not report the case.

The judge suggested that the mall should reform the reward and punishment measures for employees. Employees who lost goods due to poor care can be ordered to compensate and report the case immediately. If the case is detected, the corresponding compensation can be returned to the employee. Employees who have the courage to fight against illegal and criminal behaviors can be rewarded. It is not advisable to use the lost goods alone as a reason for disposing of employees or rescinding labor contracts with them.
