2010 fluorosilicone coatings annual wind power coating can approach the fluorocarbon era

On August 17th, the 2010 fluorosilicone coatings annual meeting was held in Shanghai organized by the China Chemical Society's Fluorine Coatings Special Committee, Coatings Industry Magazine and the National Coatings Industry Information Center.

In this year's Fluorine Silicon Annual Meeting, fluorocarbon coatings have received extensive attention from experts and companies attending the conference due to its excellent performance in the field of industrial anti-corrosion and its application prospect in the future wind power market. Especially with the vigorous development of China's wind power industry and the complexity of the domestic wind farm environment, the technical improvement of anti-corrosion technology for wind power equipment has become an urgent task. Experts and companies attending the meeting are very optimistic about the great potential of fluorocarbon coatings in the future wind power market.

Zhao Xiaodong, chairman of the China Chemical Society's Fluorine Coatings Committee, pointed out that fluorocarbon coatings with ultra-high weatherability and long durability will have great potential for application in the wind power field in China. Among the participating companies, COSCO Kansai Coatings was the first to introduce a fluorocarbon anticorrosion solution for wind power towers, and was also the first fluorocarbon coating product designed for wind power anticorrosion needs. At the same time, COSCO Kansai reached an agreement with fluorocarbon resin giant Daikin Fluorine Coatings to jointly develop fluorocarbon coating products for wind power facilities.

At present, the ultra-high performance of fluorocarbon coatings has been fully recognized by the market. From the perspective of trends, the field of industrial anti-corrosion has become the main battlefield of China's fluorocarbon coating industry. If the wind power anti-corrosion market is introduced in the future, the performance of wind power equipment such as weathering and anti-corrosion can be greatly improved, and the period of equipment protection and the maintenance cost can be extended. The polyurethane system coating used in wind power facilities and fluorocarbon coating will undoubtedly become upgraded products, which will play a very positive role in promoting the upgrading of wind power coatings in China.
