Alcoa Quinna Refinery Receives "Annual Mineral Processing Plant"

October 27 comprehensive report: Alcoa Kwinana alumina refinery (Kwinanarefinery) was recently awarded the "Annual Mineral Processing Factory" honorary title.

The “Mining Plant of the Year Award” honors mining organizations or companies that have made outstanding contributions to mine production, safety management and protection of the environment; or organizations or companies that have made outstanding contributions to the use of new technologies and innovative production.

Quinvina received this award for its advanced carbon capture technology. At the Quinina Refinery, carbon capture technology reduces carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 70,000 metric tons per year, which is equivalent to reducing the carbon dioxide emissions of 17,500 vehicles.

Alcoa's R&D Department stated that it will continue its commitment to energy-saving and environmentally-friendly production research.
