Chinalco CC electrolytic flue gas purification technology reaches international advanced level

Recently, the results of the "CC Electrolytic Flue Gas Purification Technology" developed and completed by Chinalco Corporation passed the appraisal organized by the Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, and the overall technology has reached the international advanced level.

This achievement innovatively designed the CC multi-point reactor, using the simultaneous mixing of fresh and recycled materials with the flue gas, improved the adsorption efficiency of the electrolytic flue gas purification system, and developed and designed a highly efficient pre-separation pulse dust collector, greatly reducing Dust emissions; The development and design of double-pipe and balanced pipe technology have significantly increased the gas collection efficiency of the electrolyzer and reduced pollutant emissions.

This achievement has been applied in the 500kA aluminum electrolytic series of Aluminum Corporation Liancheng Branch of China Aluminum Corporation. The effect of flue gas purification is significant. The amount of fluorine discharged is ≤1mg/Nm3, the amount of dust discharged is ≤5mg/Nm3, and the energy consumption is ≤180kWh/t-Al. The results of economic and environmental benefits are significant, and have begun to promote the use of a number of aluminum plants abroad.
