PA66 (polyamide (nylon)) has excellent mechanical properties, wear resistance, temperature resistance and chemical resistance. It has a wide range of applications in the fields of automobiles, electronic appliances, and consumer electronics. Since the industrialization of PA66 in 1939, PA66 has developed very rapidly. However, due to the high technology and investment threshold, the whole market is in an oligopolistic pattern, and the industry is highly concentrated.

Note: The capacity of PA66 (polyamide (nylon)) depends to a large extent on the production capacity of its upstream raw material, adiponitrile, which is almost exclusively concentrated in INVISTA, Solutia and Rhodia. It is not capable of producing adiponitrile in China. This is also an important reason for the slow development of domestic PA66.
