US develops new launch technology magnetic coil or replaces rocket

According to foreign media reports, the United States is currently developing a new technology that uses superconducting coils to carry out low-cost space launches. Experts involved in the research believe that the use of this technology can significantly reduce the cost of space launch: if 300 launches are used each year, the cost per kilogram of cargo will be only $745, and if 3,000 launches are made The cost will drop to $189 per kilogram.
At the heart of the program is a superconducting coil with a diameter of two kilometers. It is reported that it takes several hours to accelerate the spacecraft to the necessary speed. Its working principle is very similar to the particle accelerator used in physical experiments. The researchers believe that the spacecraft awaiting launch will first be placed in an aerodynamically sealed capsule equipped with a rocket engine that can correct the orbit after launch.
The capsule will then be placed on a rail. When the speed is accelerated to 10 km/s, the capsule will be separated from the rails with the help of a laser and rocket ejection device and thrown into a tunnel. The inclination of this tunnel is 30 degrees, where the speed of the capsule will be reduced to 8 km / sec.
However, those who criticized the plan pointed out that using this method to launch a spacecraft would generate an overload of up to 2000g, which is enough to destroy the electronic communication system on the micro. The planners countered that the electronic system equipped with a laser sighting device could withstand an overload of 20,000 g. In addition, items such as food and water carried in the sealed compartment are also unaffected by overload.
According to the plan, the scientists will first construct a test track with a diameter of 20-50 meters. If all goes well, the designer will receive financial support for building a full-size launch track.
