According to the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) recently released the results of the first batch of national product quality checks conducted in 2010, 90 hard hat products produced by 90 companies in 13 provinces and municipalities have been inspected, and 12 products have been shock absorbing and resistant to puncture. Performance items do not meet the requirements of the relevant standards.

The mandatory national standard GB2811-2007 "Hard Hat" stipulates that after the helmet is subjected to high temperature, low temperature, and water pretreatment, a puncture test is performed, the steel cone does not contact the surface of the head mold, and the cap shell may not have debris, and the impact test is conducted. The force on the head mold should not exceed 4900N, and there should be no fragments that could cause injury to the head.
