The FANUC system has a wealth of machine parameters that bring convenience to the installation, commissioning and routine maintenance of CNC machine tools. According to the practice of many years, the application of common machine tool parameters in maintenance is introduced.
1. The hand pulse generator is damaged. A FANUC 0TD CNC lathe, the manual pulse generator has failed, so that the tool can not be fine-tuned, and the faulty part needs to be replaced or repaired. There is no suitable spare part at that time. You can set the parameter 900#3 to “0†first, and temporarily use the manual pulse generator instead of the jog button to perform the tool fine adjustment work. Set the parameter to "1" after the hand pulse generator is repaired.
2. An overtravel alarm occurs when the machine returns to the reference point after powering up. In the process of returning to the reference point, the above machine tool has a 510 or 511 overtravel alarm, and there are two processing methods:
(1) If the X axis is in the process of returning to the reference point, the 510 or 511 overtravel alarm appears. Change the value of parameter 0700LT1X1 to +99999999 (or change the value of 0704LT1X2 to -99999999) and return to the reference point again. If there is no problem, change the value of parameter 0700 or 0704 to the original value.
(2) Press the P and CAN keys at the same time to turn on the machine to eliminate the overtravel alarm.
3. A FANUC 0i CNC lathe, ALM701 alarm appeared shortly after power on. Explain from the maintenance manual that the fan in the upper part of the control unit is overheated, open the electrical cabinet of the machine, check that the fan motor does not work, check that the fan power is normal, and determine that the fan is damaged. Because the fan of the same type cannot be purchased at one time, the parameter RRM8901#0 is first used. Change to "1" to release the ALM701 alarm first, then cool it in strong cooling air. After the fan is purchased, change PRM8901 to "0".
4. A FANUC 0M CNC machining center, during the tool change process, when the spindle is in contact with the tool change arm, a contact collision abnormal noise occurs. The reason for the failure is that the spindle is not positioned properly, which causes the spindle head to be in good agreement with the tool change arm, which will undoubtedly cause mechanical impact sounds, and there are obvious signs of collision at both places. After investigation, there is no mechanical looseness between the tool change arm and the spindle head, and the positioning action of the tool change arm is accurate. Therefore, the parameter value of the modified N6577 is used to solve the problem, that is, after the original data 1525 is changed to 1524, the fault is eliminated.
5. Density type parameter 0900 ~ 0939 maintenance method. When parameter transmission is performed according to the method of the FANUC 0MC operation manual, it is inconvenient to use the MDI mode for the dense level parameters 0900 to 0939. Now we introduce a transmission method that can transmit parameters including density level 0900~0939. The steps are as follows:
(1) Set the mode switch to the EDIT position;
(2) Press the PARAM button to select the screen for displaying the parameters;
(3) Set the external receiving device to the STAND BY state;
(4) Press the EOB button first, then press the OUTPOT button to output all the parameters.

The next consideration is capacity-what weight rating should you look for? As a general rule, take the maximum load that you expect to winch and multiply it by 1.5. The weight rating is based on the first wrap of the cable around the drum. With each layer of cable, the pull capacity actually drops, so when in doubt, go larger.
Always stay well to the side of a working winch, and always drape a heavy jacket or tarp over the line. If a cable breaks, the heavy material will help absorb the energy of the taut cable as it snaps back, and reduce the chance of injury.
If a load outweighs your winch rating, remember those high school physics lessons about pulleys and mechanical advantage. You can double the pulling capacity by [doubling" the line. Run it through a Snatch Block attached to the object you`re moving and then back to a fixed object. Twice the capacity, however, equals half the pulling speed.
