Domestic ship made for the first time

The first domestically produced ethylene ship 'Yanshun' was held at the Shanghai Jiangnan Changxing Shipyard on the 8th for a delivery ceremony. The ethylene ship will be invested and constructed by Shanghai Changshi Shipping Co., Ltd., a joint venture of Nanjing Chemical Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Oil Shipping Co., Ltd., and will be operated by Jinshan Leasing.

As a company focused on olefins operations in the Asian market, Jinshan Lianmao is committed to the operation of domestically-made ethylene vessels based on the continued expansion of domestic and overseas new ethylene production capacity and downstream demand. 'Yanshun' was the second ethylene vessel chartered by the company since it successfully chartered the first imported ethylene boat 'Pengshun' in November 2010.

'Yanshun' wheel storage capacity of 6,500 cubic meters, can ship 3,300 tons of ethylene, with a shallow draft, flexible mobility, etc., can enter the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in Wuhan and other regions. The ethylene ship will directly participate in the balance of ethylene resources in the Sinopec system, and provide more perfect professional services for other domestic ethylene production companies and users, further resolve the bottleneck in the domestic bulk ethylene trade, and increase Sinopec’s presence in the Asian ethylene market.
