Use of the chain saw

1. Always check the tension of the saw chain. When checking and adjusting, turn off the engine and wear protective gloves. The right degree of tension is when the chain is hung on the lower part of the guide plate and can be pulled by hand.

2. There must always be a little oil spill on the chain. Check the chain lubrication and the oil level of the oil tank before each work. Unlubricated chains can never work. Working with a dry chain can lead to damage to the cutting device.

3. Never use old motor oil. The old oil does not meet the lubrication requirements and does not apply to chain lubrication.

4. If the oil level in the tank does not decrease, it may be a lubrication delivery failure. Chain lubrication should be checked to check the oil circuit. Passing contaminated filters can also result in poor lubrication. Lubricant strainers in the tank and pump connection lines should be cleaned or replaced.

5. After replacing the new chain, the saw chain takes 2 to 3 minutes to run. Check the chain tension after running-in and readjust if necessary. The new chain requires more frequent tension than a chain that has been used for a period of time. In the cold state, the saw chain must stick to the lower part of the guide, but the saw chain can be moved on the upper guide by hand. If necessary, tighten the chain again. When the operating temperature is reached, the saw chain swells slightly downward and the drive section at the lower part of the guide plate cannot escape from the chain groove, otherwise the chain will quit and need to re-tighten the chain.

6. The chain must be relaxed after work. The chain will contract when it cools, and no loose chain will damage the crankshaft and bearings. If the chain is tensioned in working condition, the chain will shrink when cooling, and the chain will damage the crankshaft and bearing.
